We are the North of England's leading Underfloor Heating Installation, Service & Repair Specialists

A water fed Underfloor heating system is generally installed underneath stone, tile and wooden surfaces. However it can be installed underneath carpet provided the carpet and insulation combined do not measure more than 1.5 TOG. This is to ensure the heat can move upwards. Underfloor heating is an alternative to radiators in heating the home or can be used just to heat the floor on a cold day.

These systems work by using a series of pipes that connect to your boiler, which warms the water and circulates it throughout the floor to heat the space. Alternatively if you have a solar water heating system the system will work with that as well.

This system is efficient as the heat emitted is more evenly distributed than a single radiator, leaving no cold spots. The water used is of a lower temperature which lowers heating bills.

Our Services

We Specialise in the Installation, Service & Repair of all wet underfloor heating systems.

Typical manufacturers of underfloor heating are: Uponor, Unipipe, Wirsbo, Velta, Speedfit, Polypipe, Rehau & NuHeat.

Pros

A clean comfortable heat, no radiators to maintain and clean
Free up wall space
Maintenance only required at the manifold location
Room by room time and temperature control, much more efficent system control.

Cons

Installation costs are suited mainly to new build, for retrofit schemes it can be expensive
Care must be taken when choosing floor covering
Careful consideration must be given to how the ufh pipe is laid, once the screed has been poured it is very costly to change

Underfloor Heating Explained.

Screed

Laying underfloor heating pipes in a screed is the most cost effective, yet most efficient type of install. When it is -3 degrees outside we only need 45 degrees water flowing through the pipework to give you 21 degrees inside air temp.

Unifoil

This is for Intermediate Timber suspended floors, this solution works at temperatures of 65 degrees.

Floating floor

Underfloor heating pipes are situated within the insulation board, the water temperature can range from 35- 65 degrees, lower temperatures are used with a cement based floor system, higher temperatures will be required for chip board.

Heat Plates

This is for joisted floors and works optimally at 45 degrees under wood or tile and 55 degrees under carpet .

Stay in Control.

Wired Controls

Wired controls are very robust and benefit from no batteries, although they can not be relocated easily.

Weather Comp

Weather compensation is one of the easiest ways to conserve the energy you use heating your home. The circuit water temperature is mixed to give a exact required water temperature that is required to heat your home.

Wireless controls

Although the thermostats rely on battery power, these controls offer ultimate flexibility and we can now remotely control your Ufh system remotely from Smart Phone or Computer

Fixed WTC

These are robust easy to operate and maintain fixed water temperature controllers. Typically for screeded floors 45 degrees maximum and 65 degrees for Timber suspended.
